Support the Artwork of Local Artist, Dub Lee, During His First Solo Exhibit
One of the premiere arts museums in the Crossroads area, the Nave Museum features six to eight diverse and compelling exhibits each year, both classical and modern, ranging from portraiture and landscapes by celebrated Texas artist Royston Nave (1886-1931) to Art Car Victoria featuring decorated vehicles from Houston's Art Car Parade.
Located in a majestic Greek revival temple designed by San Antonio architect Atlee Ayers, Nave Museum seeks to reach out to enrich and educate all people, as well as hosting free children's workshops hosted by the Manhattan Art Program. Currently on display, Nave Museum presents A Cowboy in Every Direction, which is a collection created by Dub Lee.
Dub Lee is a self-taught artist who grew up in Edna, Texas. As a young boy, he watched his grandmother paint in oils on the porch of the family’s ranch house on long hot summer afternoons as cattle grazed in the surrounding pastures and towering thunderstorms boiled up from the Gulf of Mexico.
His first solo exhibit, A Cowboy in Every Direction, is inspired by those early artistic memories and is a reflection on his experiences of growing up in south central Texas. Admission to the Nave is always free but your generous at-the-door donations help us continue to bring fine art to the Victoria Crossroads. We look forward to seeing you there!
